2. How often should I clean my barrel?

We recommend that you clean your barrel every 400/500 shots.  We suggest using Napier products, and would advise to read the instruction manual for further information.

3. What type of lubricant should I use on my rifle?

We recommend Napier products on the Falcon range. But any moly based grease and light insoluble oils can be used. See instruction manual for further information.

4. How often should I have my rifle serviced?

PCP rifles should be serviced every 18-24 months.

5. What is the effective range of my rifle?

For Sporting and FT use, all standard powered (non-FAC) are effective up to 50yds but it comes down to the ability of the shooter.

6. Can a single shot be converted into a multi-shot?

No this is not an economical conversion.

7. Can my rifle be upgraded to high power?

Falcons do not offer this option as we have purpose built FAC rifles. We consider the power gain from an upgrade is poor and too costly.

8. Is it possible to change calibre?

This is not recommended and not a service we offer.

9. What calibres are available in the Falcon range?

The full range is available in .22 (5.5mm) and .177 (4.5mm) calibres. There is also a .25 (6.35mm) calibre available in the bull barrel rifle format only.

10. Will increasing the pressure into the cylinder increase the power of the gun?

No, the guns are designed to run within a given pressure, going over this pressure could damage the working of the gun, and result in loss of power.

11. What is the fill pressure of my gun?

If your gun is part of the FN series then it would be 185bar maximum and the Prairie range is 205bar maximum.

12. What is the refill pressure of my rifle?

The rifle should be refilled when the pressure drops to 110bar.  This is the minimum working pressure.

13. Can I charge my rifle with gases other than compressed air?

No.  Under no circumstances should anything other than clean, breathing quality air be used.  Using other gases will invalidate all warrantees, and can destroy the gun, and/or result in serious injury to the user.

14. How do I refill my rifle if it is completely empty of air?

To refill from empty, the rifle must be fully cocked.  IE, pull and keep the loading bolt in the rear position.

15. What is anti-tamper?

Anti-tamper is a series of devices fitted to our sub 12 ft lbs rifles to preserve factory settings and prevent adjustment outside the current UK limits.

16. Can I remove the anti-tamper from my gun?

If you remove the anti-tamper from your gun it will invalidate the warranty.

17. What guarantee do I get with my rifle?

All rifles and pistols carry a one year warranty against faulty parts and labour, valid from date of purchase, and is transferable.  Exclusions apply including misuse and abuse, the fitting of non-Falcon parts, removal of anti-tamper devices, and general wear and tear.

18. How can I care of the Stock?

Both the Beech and Walnut stocks should be wiped over occasionally with a clean oily cloth to keep in good condition.  The Walnut stocks are oil finished and can be enhanced further by using stock finishing kits available through all good retailers.

19. What Pellets should I use?

Pellet selection is of the utmost importance and selecting the wrong type will produce mal-functions, poor accuracy and loss of power. We suggest the following brands of pellets in order of recommendation:

Falcon Accuracy Plus
Air Arms
JSB
Bisley
Ruag
H & N
